Build and launch model rockets—all new models for 2014!

Entering Grades K-5
Full Day Only - Special $25 Field Trip Fee Applies.

Launch a journey far beyond the atmosphere!  Explore the science behind rocket propulsion while building the all-new solid-fuel powered Razor rocket, with unique tube fins.  Travel to the launch site on launch day and blast the rocket to altitudes approaching 300 feet!

Explore the universe by observing the surface of a star and mastering the use of a small refracting telescope.  Enter the Museum’s planetarium to identify moon phases and constellations, investigate and take home real meteorites and tektites and even command a space shuttle landing simulation.  End the mission with a trip to the aircraft carrier and astronaut recovery vessel USS Hornet.  Investigate Jupiter’s moons, the volcanoes of Mars and so much more in an exciting journey through the universe.
