Explore the Challenge of Flight!

Entering Grades K-5
Full Day and Half Day Available


Join the best of the best in an adventure in the world of the pilot! Explore lift, thrust, weight and drag while building and flying model gliders, airplanes, helicopters and more. Design and build vehicles of all sorts using K’Nex materials, and then test them and improve the design.

Take to the virtual skies at the controls of aircraft of all sorts in the Museum's flight simulators while exploring the cockpits and structures of many of the Museum's exhibit aircraft, and experiment with aviation hazards ranging from thunderstorms to volcanic eruptions in a journey to earn a pair of pilot wings.
