The Hiller Aviation Museum is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join the team as Development Director. This is a permanent, full-time position.
The Hiller Aviation Museum is one of the most unique and dynamic museum destinations on the San Francisco peninsula. With growing annual attendance and expanding educational programs and events, the museum is currently involved in creating new exhibits and experiences that immerse visitors in the adventurous and innovative world of aviation. The Development Director will be involved in fundraising activities that support day-to-day operations while the institution configures itself for capital fundraising efforts.
Working closely with and reporting to the Vice President of Development, the Development Director will implement the museum's annual fund program and established fundraising events, write grants, cultivate sponsorships, supervise the museum's Membership program in collaboration with supporting staff and help sustain efficient and accurate systems for tracking gifts, grants, donor histories and member profiles. This is a full time position.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with 3-5 years of successful experience in developing and implementing fundraising programs. The successful candidate will be highly organized, creative and have exceptional people skills along with excellent clerical and writing skills. Proficiency with office software and donor management database software required.
