Open Flight Sim Zone Hours (Saturday/Sunday 11 AM to 2 PM)
Immerse yourself in the excitement of aviation in our high-tech simulation experience: the Flight Sim Zone. Discover how airplanes move in three-dimensions with your hands at the controls. Take a virtual flight across the Bay and see the world from the unique perspective of a pilot. Using state-of-the-art computers and software, with multiple large displays and flight controls including yokes, throttles and rudder pedals, the Flight Sim Zone beautifully recreates the experience of flying.
Open Flight Sim Zone hours Saturday and Sunday 11 AM to 2 PM and during select special events. Included with Museum admission. Space is limited, receive a timed ticket (no additional charge) at the Flight Sim Zone during open hours to secure a spot.
Flight Sim Zone Programs
Aviation Adventure!
This intensive 3-hour afternoon experience mixes aviation investigations with stick-time on our realistic flight simulators with your hands on the yoke and your feet on the rudder pedals. Learning is one-on-one from real-world pilots who will put you through your paces. Before the class is done, you will know how to take off, land and fly a short cross-country flight around the Bay Area and Northern California.
- $30 per Pilot for members ($36 for non-members)
- $10 per Copilot for members ($12 for non-members)
- Share flight time with a CoPilot who pays a reduced fee.
- Children under age 16 require an adult Co-pilot (adult/child, pair)

All Aviation Adventure programs start at 2:15 pm and end at 5 pm.
