On Scout Saturday, Boy and Girl Scouts of all age levels, as well as Explorer Scouts and American Heritage Girls in uniform, are admitted to the Hiller Aviation Museum at no charge. Adult leaders in uniform, or Girl Scout leaders with appropriate ID, will also be admitted at no charge. Siblings, parents, friends and other family members are welcome to attend at the regular admission price.
Scouts visiting on Scout Saturday may explore the Hiller Aviation Museum’s expansive aircraft collection, including over 40 different historic aircraft.
Flight simulation, Invention Lab and Drone Plex activities (some require an extra fee) are also offered. Click here for more information.

Capt. Hank Scherf (ret.)
Join Eagle Scout, United States Navy aviator and Hiller Aviation Museum board member Hank Scherf for a presentation on his journey to Eagle and subsequent career afloat, aloft and beyond. Earning Eagle Scout at age 14 with Troop 106 in Lancaster, Ohio, Capt. Scherf joined the United States Navy and completed the demanding requirements to join the ranks of naval aviators. Over a 30 year career with the Navy, Capt. Scherf logged over 2100 flight hours and 300 carrier landings in aircraft including the McDonnell A-4 Skyhawk and LTV A-7 Corsair II. Capt. Scherf currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Pacific Skyline Council of the Boy Scouts of America and also the Hiller Aviation Museum.
