Jeffery Bass, President and CEO –
Jeff joined the museum in 2007 with over 20 years of science museum experience
in exhibit and program design, planetarium show production, museum operations
management and direction of a dome IMAX theater. Previous employers include
Cranbrook Institute of Science in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and Milwaukee
Public Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Knowledgeable in physics and astronomy.
Jeff is also a private pilot.
Willie Turner, VP of Operations –
Mr. Turner joined the Hiller Aviation Institute & Museum in October 1995.
He manages the overall marketing department and creates the promotional events supporting
the organizations overall mission. He has successfully developed, the Museum’s
premier events including Vertical Challenge,
Noon Years and the lecture series.
Lauren Weston – VP Development –
Ms. Weston is a professional with a breadth of experience in leadership development, program design,
financial management, fundraising, board development, marketing and communications. She has performed
in a variety of development roles with notable Bay Area non-profit institutions as well as project management
for Sacramento area political campaigns.
Brady Knight – Director of Development –
Mr. Knight is a seasoned non-profit professional with years of fundraising and program related experience. Over the past decade Knight traveled the USA representing organizations and their missions. Most recently, he served in administrative and development roles with Antioch University and the BizWorld Foundation.
Jon Welte – Education Programs Manager –
The Hiller Aviation Museum welcomed Jon Welte aboard in June 2007.
Jon is responsible for the development and implementation of Aviation Camp, school field trip programs,
and other Museum-related experiences for children. Jon was captivated by aviation and science at a
young age. He logged his first hour of dual instruction at age thirteen and
received his first telescope that same year. Jon ultimately secured his bachelorís degree
in Astronomy from UC Berkeley and holds a Private Pilot Certificate.
Lanie Agulay – Private Events
Ms. Agulay joined the Hiller Aviation Institute & Museum
in 2004. She plans and manages all aspects of
daytime and evening private events from large
scale to small meetings and functions. She also
coordinates vendors, onsite resource and event
logistics for private events held at the Museum.
Duncan Chadwick – Director of
Merchandising and Retail Operations –
Mr. Chadwick joined the Hiller Aviation
Institute & Museum in 1998. He has many years of retail experience both in the UK and the United States. He created the Hiller Aviation’s
retail store and he is responsible for the management
of all retail merchandising and retail staff.
Richard Smith – Volunteer Coordinator –
Rick joined the Hiller Aviation Museum Staff in July of 2011.† He is responsible for recruiting, scheduling and training the approximate 150 museum volunteers.† Rick has a B.S. in Business Management from Long Island University. He was president/CEO of a manufacturing and wholesale distribution company in Philadelphia for 35 years before moving to California.
Katherine Garcia – Development Associate: Membership Manager –
Ms. Garcia manages the museum's Membership program, building on a professional background including seven
years with KQED. She received a B.S. Degree from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from San Francisco
Katie McGee – Program Specialist and Registrar –
Katie McGee is the museum's Registrar and serves as a lead Instructor in the museum's
Education Department. She earned her B.A. in History at the University of Oregon in 2005
and a M.A. in Museum Studies from San Francisco State University in 2009.
