Open Cockpit Day
January 9, 11am-3pm
Who isn’t fascinated with sitting in the cockpit of a modern airliner or a jet? The Hiller Aviation Museum is unique in regularly providing access for visitors to real aircraft cockpits like an A4 jet trainer, a Hiller H-12 helicopter and our Boeing 747 airliner. On this special day, January 9, we swing open additional cockpits including the Boeing 737 airliner, the Boeing SST and the Cessna 177 Cardinal. From general aviation piston aircraft to commercial airliners, you will get a real “hands-on” experience and unique perspective on flying from real pilots and airline captains.
Flight Sim Zone
Immerse yourself in the experience of aviation in our new Flight Simulation Zone. Plan a real-world flight in the Bay Area using actual aviation sectional charts and plotters, then fly your flight in real-time on one of our brand new desktop flight simulators. Using state-of-the-art computers and software, with multiple large displays and flight controls including yokes, throttles and rudder pedals, these simulators beautifully recreate the experience of flying. After you’ve flown our high-end simulators, you’ll want to set up one for yourself and your family at home!
