Aviation Merit Badge

Boy Scouts can complete all requirements for the Boy Scout Aviation Merit Badge through a special one-day program at the Hiller Aviation Museum. Each program includes:

  • Admission to and Exclusive Tour of Hiller Aviation Museum
  • Aerodynamics Presentations in an Aviation-Themed Environment
  • Preflight Inspection of a Cessna 177 Cardinal Airplane
  • Model Aircraft Construction and Flights
  • Flight Simulation Missions in the Flight Sim Zone
  • Air Traffic Control Simulations
  • And Much, Much More!
Open registration for Merit Badge programs is available on the following dates:

A registration fee of $40 per Scout must be paid at the time of registration, and pre-registration is required. Space is limited and all registrations are subject to confirmation. Download the Merit Badge Registration Form and return to the Museum by mail, fax or in person:

Scouts enrolled for an upcoming Aviation Merit Badge program may wish to review the Aviation Badge Worksheet prior to program date. Parents must complete a Scout Information and Medical Form and return with their Scout on the morning of the program. Please note that no food service except for limited snacks and drinks are available at the Museum. Scouts must have written permission from a parent or guardian to leave the Museum during lunch to eat at an offsite location (such as the Burger King restaurant near the Museum).
