Scout Programs
The Hiller Aviation Museum is pleased to offer guided tours and hands-on programs to scouts aged kindergarten through eighth grade. These tours and programs give scouts the opportunity to experience aviation in a new way and may help satisfy the requirements for certain Cub Scout Belt Loops or Brownie Try-Its. Reservations are required for all tours and programs and must be made at least two weeks in advance.
Basic Information
- Reservations required for all tours and programs.
- Minimum group size is 10 scouts, plus adult chaperones.
- 1 adult required for every 8 scouts.
- Bring your own lunch or snack; food service is not available onsite.
Summer Scout Trips
- Summer Schedule is in effect Monday, June 16th through Friday, August 29th.
- Hands-on Programs are limited to Amazing Aircraft.
- Programs available no earlier than 1 PM Monday through Friday.
- Morning and Saturday programs are not available.
Fees
- Scout groups visiting Monday through Friday, September through May are admitted for $2 per scout, $4 per adult (1 free adult for every 8 scouts).
- Scout groups admitted Saturdays and Sundays are eligible for a $1 per person discount from regular admission prices.
- Gallery Tours: no additional fee, reservations required.
- Hands-on Programs: additional lab fee is required (see programs), reservations required. Hands-on Programs are not available June through August or on Sundays.
How to Schedule Your Scout Trip
- Select tours and programs that interest your group.
- Determine at least two possible dates for your trip.
- Call the Hiller Aviation Museum at (650) 654-0200 at least two weeks in advance.
- A credit card is required to hold a trip reservation and issue a confirmation. A $20 fee will be charged for trips cancelled without three business days' notice.
