Remember When
Antique Airplanes & Cars
May 12 * 10am-2pm
Remember when flying was romantic. When driving a car took skill and precision? When it was the journey not the destination that was the best part of the trip. On May 12 we will bring you back to that time as we display beautiful antique airplanes along side gorgeous antique cars.
Aviation, Looking Back
By Faride Khalaf
Presentation 11AM
At first, all we wished for was to fly like birds and feel the sky beneath us. We struggled with many failures just to achieve powered flight. The Wright brothers opened the door for many to follow in their steps. Each innovation led to flying higher, faster and farther. As we strived to climb, we developed more powerful engines to make our dreams come true. The science of aviation revealed more techniques, and the secrets of flight were no longer hidden the wings of birds. In this presentation, I will show the critical steps taken as aviation evolved into its modern forms. It took engineering savvy pioneers, courageous financiers, and two world wars to get us here. Join me for a technical look back into aircraft evolution.
