ADS-B Now

The Change is Coming

Tuesday, July 10

7:30 – 9:00 pm

It is estimated that almost half of the aircraft in the San Francisco Bay Area will be grounded in January 2020 because they are not now ADS-B compliant.   This seminar will review how the Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast system will affect pilots, touting both the good and the bad, and highlight all of the different types of radios, their costs, the benefits and limitations.  Aircraft owners will learn what radios will be required in their aircraft, the costs and how to install them. Pilots will learn how ADS-B will make flying easier and at the same time understand the problems you will encounter.

The Hiller Aviation Museum will host this seminar that will present not only the benefits and the problems pilots will be faced with when operating an aircraft equipped with ADS-B, but will present every type of radio that will bring an aircraft into compliance.

Cameron Rolfe, an aviation technician as well as a pilot for over 45 years will present this topic with San Carlos Flight Center, EAA and the Sheriff’s Association at the Hiller Aviation Museum located adjacent to San Carlos Flight Center.

This event will begin at 7:30 PM.

The Hiller Aviation Museum is located at 601 Skyway Rd., San Carlos, CA 94070 (650) 654-0200.
