A documentary featuring eleven WWII Veterans from Carrier Air Group 11.

Director George Retelas discovered his late grandfather’s WWII Navy journal containing memories and photos of his time in the South Pacific. The stories were inspiring and with a successful Kickstarter, he traveled across the US to interview eleven Veterans of Carrier Air Group 11. The film was then screened aboard the USS Hornet Museum for Veterans Day on Nov. 11, 2014.

Some of these amazing airmen returned to the USS Hornet aircraft carrier after 70 years for this special event. It’s George’s hope to share the film to a younger generation, as the stories are inspiring and the experience to do this project has been life-changing.
