Program Dates

Wednesday March 6 – Sink or Float?

A simple sink or float activity will introduce the little explorers to density and buoyancy. Through their observations, they’ll learn that buoyant objects float and dense objects sink, and, like little scientists, they can even record their predictions!

Wednesday March 13 – Inflate a Balloon

Little Explorers create chemical reactions using non-toxic, kid friendly materials such as mixing vinegar and baking soda together.

Wednesday March 20 – Hot Air Balloon Ride

Little Explorers experiment with counting and potential and kinetic energy! They will decorate a mini hot air balloon, set it up to carry an object, and see how fast it goes. Explorers will observe and compare how fast or slow their hot air balloon moves with different number of objects.

Wednesday March 20 – Burn Off Energy Balloon

In this gross motor activity, Little Explorers use balloons to identify colors and shapes, develop cooperation skills while working together with other kids, and refine gross motor development with movement activities.
