Activity Locations
Camp activities take place within classrooms, simulator labs, exhibit spaces and outside areas at and around the Hiller Aviation Museum. Please ensure that children are ready for both indoor and outdoor activities each day.
Grouping by Age
Campers will be divided by age into teams of 15-20 children each working with two adult staff members. Hands-on projects and flight simulation scenarios may vary by grade level. Please indicate any grouping requests on the registration form.
Instruction
Each Aviation Camp team is supervised by two adult staff members per group. Aviation Camp staff are aviation education professionals who complete pre-camp training sessions, LiveScan fingerprint checks, and California mandatory reporter training. Additional museum staff members and volunteers work with campers as necessary to ensure an exceptional camp experience.
Food
All campers should bring a snack for morning break and a lunch (insulated coolers or lunch boxes are ideal). Snack and lunch breaks are supervised time, with opportunities for outdoor play and a variety of short, structured activities provided during break periods.
