Lanie Agulay – Private Events Manager Email
Lanie Agulay joined Hiller Aviation Museum in 2004. She plans and manages all aspects of daytime and evening private events from large scale to small meetings and functions. She also coordinates vendors, onsite resources, and event logistics for private events held at the Museum.
Jeffery Bass – President and CEO Email
Jeffery Bass joined the Museum in 2007 with over 20 years of science museum experience in exhibit and program design, planetarium show production, museum operations management, and direction of a dome IMAX theater. Previous employers include Cranbrook Institute of Science in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and Milwaukee Public Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is knowledgeable in aviation, physics, and astronomy. Jeff studied at San Jose State University with graduate degrees from University of Michigan. He also holds a Private Pilot Certificate.
Duncan Chadwick – Director of Merchandising and Retail Operations Email
Duncan Chadwick joined the Hiller Aviation Museum in 1998. He has many years of retail experience both in the UK and the United States. He created the Hiller Aviation Museum’s retail store and is responsible for the management of all retail merchandising and retail staff.
Rebecca Duran – Vice President of Development Email
Rebecca Duran has degrees and certifications from Boston University, San Francisco State University, and New England College. She spent more than 10 years at Friends For Youth, a mentoring nonprofit agency serving youth in the Bay Area. In addition to a solid set of advancement skills, Rebecca has an interesting journalism background, including a stint as a correspondent for The Boston Globe. Rebecca was also a Teach For America corps member.
Linh Fanger – Director of Education Email
Linh is an experienced educator and curriculum developer, with particular expertise in early childhood education. She has served the museum’s Aviation Camp program as an instructor and camp director for six years. Linh possesses a B.A in Sociology from UC Berkeley and she obtained a multiple subject teaching credential from UC San Diego.
Katherine Garcia – Development Associate: Membership Manager Email
Katherine Garcia manages the Museum’s Membership program, building on a professional background including seven years with KQED. She received a BS Degree from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from San Francisco State University.
Esperanza Halili – Bookkeeper Email
Esperanza Halili manages the day-to-day aspects of the museum’s finance operations. She has provided accounting and payroll services for numerous Bay Area firms and received a BS Degree in Business Administration – Finance from San Francisco State University.
Jen Roger – Volunteer Coordinator, Exhibits & Collections ManagerEmail
Jen Roger joined the Hiller Aviation Museum staff in 2014. She is responsible for recruiting, scheduling, and training the Museum’s approximately 150 volunteers. Jen has an extensive background in nonprofit work and volunteer coordination, both in the public sector with California Department of Parks and Recreation and in the private sector with various Bay Area educational nonprofits. Jen holds a BA in history from Menlo College.
Willie Turner – Vice President of Operations & Marketing Email
Willie Turner joined the Hiller Aviation Museum in October 1995. He manages the overall marketing department and creates the promotional events supporting the organization’s overall mission. He has successfully developed, the Museum’s premier events including Vertical Challenge, Biggest Little Air Show, Day of Drones, Noon Years, and the lecture series. A graduate of California State University, Chico, he also holds a Private Pilot Certificate.
Mark van Bergen – Program Manager Email
Mark develops and oversees the Museum’s public programs and special visitor activities that incorporate science, engineering, and technology, particularly involving the museum’s Invention Lab and Drone Plex on weekends. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and has previously worked as staff member for the Museum’s Aviation Camp program.
Jon Welte – Vice President of Education and Public Programs Email
The Hiller Aviation Museum welcomed Jon Welte aboard in June 2007. Jon is responsible for the development and implementation of Aviation Camp, school field trip programs, and other Museum-related experiences for children and the general public. Jon was captivated by aviation and science at a young age. He logged his first hour of dual instruction at age 13 and received his first telescope that same year. Jon holds a BS in Astronomy, an MBA, and a Private Pilot Certificate.
