Girl Scout Programs
Girl Scout programs offer unique opportunities to explore aviation up close while earning an official Girl Scout badge. All participants will receive the corresponding badge for this program, along with a special Hiller Aviation Museum fun patch.
Daisies
How Robots Move
Badge 2 of Robotics
Open to Daisy Girl Scouts Grades K-1
Daisies will explore robots, coding, and flying in this exciting hands-on adventure! Daisies will learn how to think like a programmer by creating simple step-by-step instructions (algorithms) to guide robots. Experiment with different types of robots, see how they move, and work together to solve fun challenge. Explore a real aircraft and assemble and fly a foam glider to take home.
By the end of the program, Daisies will earn and receive the robotics badge 2 “How Robots Move” and take home a special Hiller Aviation Museum fun patch!

Brownies
Fling Flyer
Badge 2 of Mechanical Engineering
Open to Brownie Girl Scouts Grades 2-3
Brownies will explore the four forces of flight through hands-on experiments with a take-home balsa wood glider and by designing, building, and flying a Fling Flyer aircraft. The program includes a guided museum aircraft tour highlighting women in aviation.
By the end of the program, Brownies will earn and receive the mechanical engineering badge 2 “Fling Flyer Design Challenge” and take home a special Hiller Aviation Museum fun patch!

Juniors
Badge 2 of Mechanical Engineering
Open to Junior Girl Scouts Grades 4-5
Juniors will explore mechanical engineering concepts by first testing potential and kinetic energy with balloon-powered helicopters, then engineering their own rubber band–powered propeller car. Then, Juniors will climb into the flight simulators to practice how to take off, freefly, and land in a simulated aircraft.
By the end of the program, Juniors will earn and receive the mechanical engineering badge 2 “Balloon Car Design Challenge” and take home a special Hiller Aviation Museum fun patch!

Registration
for Daisies, Brownies and Juniors
For public open enrollment dates:
Please enroll online. The program fee for each Girl Scout is due at the time of registration.
Additional Girl Scouts may be added at a later date on a space-available basis. To ensure participants are grouped with their troop, the troop number must be included at the time of registration.
Cancellations must be submitted at least seven (7) days in advance. A processing fee of $5 per Scout will be deducted from all approved refunds. Refunds are not available for cancellations made within seven (7) days of the program date.
Companion Admission
All adults and non-participating children attending in-person programs will be admitted at a discounted rate of $12 per person. Companion admission fees are collected onsite during check-in on the day of the program.
For Private Troop Programs:
Please fill our your troop’s program request. Hiller Aviation Museum will coordinate with you to schedule a mutually convenient date and time for your program.
Payment of the full program fee is required to confirm the reservation once a mutually agreed-upon date and time have been secured.
Cancellations must be submitted at least seven (7) days in advance and are subject to a $15 cancellation fee. Refunds are not available for cancellations made within seven (7) days of the program date.
Companion Admissions
Each private troop program reservation includes admission for two (2) companions. Additional adults and non-participating children attending in-person programs may be admitted at a discounted rate of $12 per person. Companion admission fees may be paid with the registration or onsite on the day of the program.
Food
Please note that no food service is available except for limited packaged snacks and drinks available at the Museum Gift Shop. Outside food and drinks are welcome and may be consumed outside or in the lobby only. (No food inside the Gift Shop or Museum Gallery).
