Drones

Fly a drone!

Discover the fun and challenge of drone flight! Observe drone demonstrations, take the controls of a realistic drone simulator, and pilot an actual drone in the Drone Plex flight center during Try and Fly.

Flight Simulators

In the Flight Sim Zone, take a virtual flight across the Bay and see the world from the unique perspective of a pilot. Real pilots will show you how to control a Cessna 172.

Invention Lab

This “mini makers lab†has new hands-on activities for kids, exposing them to STEM in a fun and engaging way. Here they can use the tools of science to explore aviation, aerodynamics, engineering, assembly, and design.

The Hiller Aviation Museum is closed Easter Sunday, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
Closures also include select featured and private events.

This museum is fantastic. Everything from kitty hawk to predator drone and in and some of the first helicopters . Easy wheel chair access and right off the freeway. It really is great . Highly reccomend.

This was such an awesome experience! I was amazed at how much history I was looking at and how many brave souls took to the sky with their unique inventions. All I could think about was how brave all of these people were for even trying. The 747 cockpit was my favorite it was surreal being in the pilots seat. The gift shop was very well stocked with model airplanes and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I’ll be back.

This museum was a nice little surprise tucked away kind of in our backyard. It was really fun to explore and learn about the rich history of aviation, way more exciting than I expected it to be. The museum itself is very well put together. I was constantly looking around and finding new little things. Definitely worth a visit.

Excellent place to go with kids. Real 747 display in the museum. I think is the only you can touch with all the controls and buttons.

This is, by far, the best value for money I've ever seen for a museum.
I have a 3 year old and it's perfect for her.
We're in the museum every other week, looking at the airplanes, playing in the playground, going in the 747-400, and seeing real airplanes takeoff and land in the adjacent airport, it's a blast.
You can also fly a very cool simulator (free for members) in the second floor, and do a new science project/build with the little ones every time you get there (in the lab).
Not to mention (but I will) the special events they have during holidays and just throughout the year, like seeing Santa and the Easter Bunny arrive via chopper, paint a real plane, see a leprechaun parachute to the museum, see huge sets of model trains and so much more.
And we've got it all for $139 for the whole family for the whole year. (With this membership we also received 2 extra tickets, which we used when friends came along).

This is a great place to see all kinds of avionics. They have models of all sorts of craft, as well as retired craft. I could spend hours here!
They have special events for toddlers. They have simulations for flights and drones.
Their store is very stocked with all sorts of models you could purchase as well.

This is the best air museum that I have ever been to they have really good prices at the gift should and everyone is super kind, sweet. Ive been a avgeek for 10 years the Boeing 747 that they have there is really fun to walk into and sit in the cockpit and the flight simulators are super fun to fly also the museum's layout is great the history about the aircrafts are fun to read about all in all this is the best place to go if your an avgeek or have a future pilot in the family (would recommend) 5 star I love the place

The Hiller Aviation Museum hosted our company party, delivering an absolutely incredible experience that made it by far my favorite venue to date.

It was a private event, so we had the whole place to ourselves. We were a bit tipsy prior to entering the museum, the vast hangar felt like an exclusive wonderland. We were like two kids at Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

We were free to run amok, and run amok we did! We spent the evening laughing, taking fun and silly photo booth pictures, and playfully exploring the museum; the aircraft and exhibits transformed into a fantastic adult playground.

Even the food catered at the museum was exceptional. The meal was simply fantismo! I had the salmon, and each morsel was truly delectable. This venue offers an experience that is impossible to forget.
